Mankins, Welker, Connolly miss practice

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots were without guards Logan Mankins (ankle/calf) and Dan Connolly (back) and receiver Wes Welker (ankle) and for their first practice of the week on Wednesday, according to the team's first practice report of the week.

Thirteen players were listed as having limited participation, including Aaron Hernandez (ankle), Patrick Chung (Shoulder/hamstring) and Brandon Spikes (knee).

The Colts, meanwhile, have already ruled out cornerback Vontae Davis (knee) and tight end Coby Fleener (shoulder).
