Brady on pace with preparation

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- On Wednesday evening, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady welcomed his second child with wife Gisele Bundchen, a daughter named Vivian Lake, but that hasn't affected his preparation for a Monday night AFC showdown with the Houston Texans, according to head coach Bill Belichick.

"He was like an hour late coming in the day after it, but otherwise good," Belichick said on Saturday. "We met yesterday. I think he's right on top of everything like he usually is as far as preparation. We met and we went over their scheme and their players and adjustments and things we expect them to do and so forth. He seemed right on top of it to me like he usually does."

On Friday, defensive end Rob Ninkovich expressed the same sentiment as his head coach.

"I think Tom is all business," he said. "He’s in here, working hard and focused in on what we have to do."

Ninkovich added with a smile, "In 16 years, he’s going to have his hands full with a little girl trying to drive a car around and boys chasing her."
