Gronk lone absence at practice

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots had nearly perfect attendance as they held their final practice of the week before Monday night's game against the Houston Texans.

Practicing on the Gillette Stadium game field in drizzly conditions, the Patriots were only without tight end Rob Gronkowski (forearm/hip) for a second straight practice.

Meanwhile, offensive linemen Nick McDonald (shoulder), Logan Mankins (ankle/calf), Dan Connolly (back) and Sebastian Vollmer (back/knee) were all on the practice field, increasing their chances of playing on Monday night.

The team will release its final injury report of the week on Saturday afternoon.
