Linebacker Jerod Mayo started for the AFC in Sunday's Pro Bowl, and like he does for the Patriots, he led the defensive huddle. Mayo finished the game -- a 62-35 NFC win -- with two tackles.
Meanwhile, special teams captain Matthew Slater was an early presence in the kicking game, making a few tackles. He saw some late-game action at receiver, finishing with one reception for 13 yards.
Overall, Mayo and Slater weren't headline performers in the game (Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph earned MVP honors).
One other Patriots nugget from the Pro Bowl -- Mayo and Slater were booed during introductions.
