Where were you on this day 11 years ago?
The Patriots, led by owner Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick, were at the White House as guests of then-president George W. Bush for their victory in Super Bowl XXXVI, their first-ever championship.
The trip to the White House came one day after players and the Super Bowl trophy were present at Fenway Park for the opening day of the Red Sox 2002 season. In a pregame ceremony, each of the players in attendance threw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Just a little blast from the past to get things going today. Time flies.
