Analyst picks underrated, overrated Pats

As he does each offseason, CBSSports.com NFL columnist Pete Prisco goes through each team and picks one player he deems underrated and one he believes if overrated.

Last year, he went with cornerback Kyle Arrington (underrated) and guard Logan Mankins (overrated).

Two years ago, it was running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis (underrated) and safety Brandon Meriweather (overrated).

Three years ago, he went with cornerback Leigh Bodden (underrated) and left tackle Matt Light (overrated).

This year, Prisco keeps his focus on the offensive line, with center Ryan Wendell (underrated) and Mankins (overrated).

On Wendell, Prisco writes, "He stepped in for veteran Dan Koppen and did a heck of a job in the middle of the Patriots' line. Playing center in New England's up-tempo offense takes a lot of smarts."

On Mankins, Prisco writes, "He has battled injury issues the past two seasons, but that doesn't mean he can't be overrated. He is a good player at guard now, but not one of the league's best."
