Patriots' version of Mt. Rushmore

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com has been going through the Mt. Rushmore for each NFL team, giving fans the voice to vote for their top four choices.

On Thursday, the Patriots were in the spotlight and the final picks were Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Robert Kraft and Adam Vinatieri.

The first three choices were slam dunks in the eyes of many, but it was the No. 4 spot that generated some debate. It came down to Tedy Bruschi vs. Adam Vinatieri on the fan vote. Florio opined on why Vinatieri was a good choice, while Ross Tucker lobbied for John Hannah.

Others in the discussion included Bruce Armstrong, Troy Brown, Ty Law, Willie McGinest, Stanley Morgan and Andre Tippett.

As we count down the days to the start of training camp and the first open practice to the public on Friday, July 26, going through the Mt. Rushmore possibilities sparked more Patriots football-specific thoughts at what is usually a slow time on the football calendar.
