No players taken in supplemental draft

The 2013 NFL supplemental draft was held today, although the event came and passed without any players being taken, the NFL announced this afternoon.

Six players were eligible to be selected, with a team having the opportunity to relinquish a 2014 draft pick in order to acquire said players. Because no teams opted to use a pick on the players, they will become undrafted free agents and can immediately sign with any team that has an interest.

The Patriots have never taken a player in the supplemental draft under the watch of Bill Belichick, with the team last choosing defensive back J'Juan Cherry in 1999.

The Browns were the last team to acquire a player in the supplemental draft, selecting wide receiver Josh Gordon in 2012 with a second-round pick, forfeiting their second-round pick in 2013.
