FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots signed a pair of offensive lineman on Friday, inking deals with both Luke Patterson and Brice Schwab, the team announced. To make room for the duo, the Patriots waived both defensive lineman Travis Chappelear -- signed on Thursday -- and long snapper Mike Zupancic.
Patterson, who attended Texas A&M, has spent parts of the past two seasons on the practice squad for the Kansas City Chiefs. A college defensive lineman, he went undrafted in 2011.
Schwab, 6-foot-7 and 302 pounds, was signed by the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent earlier this offseason before being subsequently waived. He attended Arizona State, starting 17 of 22 games played at right tackle.
The Patriots roster remains at 90 players, the maximum allowable limit.
