Wake-up call: Brady's 36th

(Every day of training camp, we'll have a wake-up call that previews the day ahead.)

9 a.m. -- Practice (open to public)

11:30 a.m. -- Player interviews

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady celebrates his 36th birthday, which for 13 of the last 14 years have mostly been spent practicing and in meetings.

"My 30th birthday I think we had the day off, because I had a barbeque on my roof deck – a surprise birthday party," Brady recalled Friday. "That was a long time ago. Six years ago – oh my God."

As for this year, Brady reported that he's feeling better with each practice.

"Every day I feel like my legs get more under me. My arm gets better, so I'm enjoying it," he said. "I love this sport, I love playing it, I love being out here with my teammates and playing."

In addition to Brady (more comments from him here), two other areas of note today:

1. Jarrett Bell of USA Today tweeted that Bill Belichick plans to attend Bill Parcells' Hall of Fame induction tonight in Canton, Ohio. It could be a case where Belichick leaves after the morning practice. We'll keep an eye out for his presence.

2. Continuing to monitor injured players Ras-I Dowling, Jermaine Cunningham and Marcus Cannon, among others.
