FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- For the third day this week and sixth straight day since the New England Patriots' regular season finale, wide receiver Aaron Dobson (foot) was not spotted at the start of practice, making him unlikely to play Saturday night when the team hosts the Indianapolis Colts.
Dobson, who missed four regular season games, injured his foot in Week 17, although it is unclear if it was a recurrence of the same injury that previously held him out. The team re-signed Austin Collie last week after Josh Boyce was placed on injured reserve and with Dobson nursing his foot issue.
The rest of the team was present for the start of practice, including guard Logan Mankins, who suffered a Week 17 ankle injury. It would be a surprise to see him not play on Saturday night, likely keeping the Patriots starting offensive line intact.
The Patriots practiced in shells and helmets on the game field at Gillette Stadium.
