Gathering up a few second-round mock drafts, highlighting the New England Patriots' picks, and sharing a few thoughts:
Evan Silva's mock (Rotoworld): QB Tom Savage (Pittsburgh)/RB Tre Mason (Auburn) -- Draft covers second/third rounds.
QUICK-HIT THOUGHTS: It's a clean sweep across the board on offense. Setting up Day 2, running back, tight end, offensive line and defensive end/outside linebacker were the positions targeted as the spots with a higher likelihood of picking. Quarterback might be a little rich here, but if the Patriots really do like Savage, the feeling here is that he wouldn't be there at the end of the third round, and a pick of Savage would be consistent with what the Broncos did with Brock Osweiler (No. 57 overall pick, 2012). The Seferian-Jenkins pick is intriguing; he has a lot going for himself as a player, the questions here have been more related to questions away from football. If the Patriots go running back, the hunch here is that it wouldn't be Hyde.
