FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots released their first injury report of the season Wednesday, and it was a short one with just four players.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski, as expected, was limited in practice (right knee). Gronkowski said Monday that he is cleared to play and is excited to join his teammates, while coach Bill Belichick said the club would make a decision at the end of the week.
Meanwhile, second-year defensive end Michael Buchanan was limited after injuring his ankle in the preseason finale. Also, defensive tackles Chris Jones (left ankle, Aug. 7) and Sealver Siliga (left hand, Aug. 5) were limited.
