Patriots remain atop ESPN's power rankings; No. 2 in power index

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Tuesday is "power rankings" day at ESPN, and the New England Patriots remain at No. 1 for the second straight week.

The Patriots had opened the season at No. 2 behind the Seahawks. When Seattle lost at St. Louis in Week 1, it vaulted the Patriots to the top spot.

"Tom Brady has seven TD passes and no interceptions to start the 2015 season. That's Brady's best TD-INT differential in the first two games of a season for his career," it is noted by ESPN's staff.

Though the Patriots are atop the power rankings, they are second in the weekly "power index rankings" behind only the Packers. The one category where the Patriots have a negative ranking is on defense, at minus-0.5.
