Pedroia, Sox shut out of Gold Gloves

The Red Sox's only real hope at taking home any postseason hardware went by the wayside when Dustin Pedroia lost out to the Yankees' Robinson Cano for the Gold Glove at second base.

Only one other Red Sox player was a finalist for a Gold Glove and he doesn't even play for the team any more. Adrian Gonzalez, dealt to the Dodgers in August, lost to New York's Mark Teixeira.

And rubbing a little salt in the wounds on this dismal season: the A's Josh Reddick, traded by the Sox in the offseason, was honored for his play in right field.
