Power Rankings: Sox back at No. 1

For the third time this season, the Red Sox are at No. 1 in this week’s MLB Power Rankings, jumping two spots from No. 3.

Boston went 5-2 over the past week, which also featured back-to-back walk-off victories and the addition of Jake Peavy. The right-hander won his debut Saturday night against the Diamondbacks.

At 68-45, the Red Sox are a game up on the Rays in the AL East and have the best record in the American League. Their .602 winning percentage puts them on pace to win about 97.5 games this season.
