Doubront leaves with shoulder fatigue

BOSTON -- Red Sox left-hander Felix Doubront left Tuesday night’s game with Toronto in the fifth inning with what the club later said was shoulder fatigue.

Pitching coach Juan Nieves had gone to the mound after Doubront gave up back-to-back doubles to Jose Reyes and Melky Cabrera to open the fifth, increasing Toronto’s lead to 4-0. Nieves then waved to the dugout, bringing out manager John Farrell and trainer Rick Jameyson.

After a brief consultation, Doubront walked off the mound. He was replaced by Edward Mujica.
