FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Greetings from the Red Sox Player Development complex, where camp doesn’t officially open until Sunday but where some of the early birds are already at work.

Under overcast skies (and temperatures in the mid-70s), outfielder Ryan Kalish just finished hitting in the cages and Jonathan Papelbon and Jon Lester are playing catch.

Starting today, we’ll be here all spring long providing the latest updates and insights from Red Sox spring training. Check back early and often.
