BOSTON -- The Bruins’ Tuukka Rask and the Sabres’ Ryan Miller were like two masked men in an old western movie, trading shots –- saves in this case –- on some dirt road in the middle of a showdown. Both were tremendous in overtime.
Miller made three key saves in the first extra period, stopping Blake Wheeler on a breakaway early and then stoning Patrice Bergeron on a shot that the Bruins forward almost put through the Sabres’ netminder. Miller then made an unbelievable sprawling glove save on Miroslav Satan with four minutes to go.
The game is still tied at 2-2 as we go to the second overtime.
