WILMINGTON, Mass. -- The Boston Bruins have reassigned forward Jamie Arniel to the P-Bruins. He was recalled on an emergency basis on Saturday and made his NHL debut on Sunday against the Atlanta Thrashers.
Arniel, a second-year pro, played a total of 12:26 against the Thrashers in a 4-1 loss. He did not practice with the Bruins this morning.
He was recalled for the second time this season due to the absence of forwards David Krejci and Jordan Caron from the lineup due to the flu. Both practice Monday morning.
Arniel, 21, has played 19 games this season for Providence, and leads the team in scoring with 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points.
