The Boston Bruins made a couple of minor deals on Tuesday, acquiring the rights to University of Michigan defenseman Steve Kampfer from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick, and getting defenseman Cody Wild from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for forward Matt Marquard.
The 21-year-old Kampfer has played in 37 games for Michigan this season and has two goals and 15 assists. He was originally taken by the Ducks in the fourth round of the 2007 draft.
Wild, who starred at Providence College, has split 2009-10 between Springfield of the AHL and Stockton of the ECHL. He was drafted by Edmonton in the fifth round of the 2006 draft.
The NHL’s trade deadline is Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET.
