BOSTON -- Injured Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron (mild concussion) is progressing, but coach Claude Julien said nothing has changed in the last couple of days.
“He is still going through the protocol,” Julien said. “All I can say is he keeps progressing on a daily basis. He hasn’t been on the ice or any of that stuff, yet. We are keeping our fingers crossed that things will start being clear and more optimistic here as we keep moving forward.”
Bergeron, who suffered the injury in the opening minutes of the third period during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Philadelphia Flyers last Friday at the Garden, is likely to miss Games 1 and 2 of the conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
According to Julien, Bergeron has not participated in any physical activity since the injury.
