Julien: Ference likely to practice

BOSTON -- Following the Bruins' 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night at TD Garden, Bruins coach Claude Julien announced that injured defenseman Andrew Ference (lower-body injury) will likely practice with the team Wednesday.

Ference has missed the past two games, but returned to the ice Tuesday morning when he took a quick twirl prior to the team's game-day skate.

"He did well today," Julien said. "He's going to probably practice (Wednesday) with us, with the whole team, so things are looking good. That'll become a day-to-day situation. It's a positive step as far as him more than likely practicing with us."

Ference was injured during the second period of Thursday's 6-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. In 14 games this season, Ference has five assists and is plus-3.
