Ahead of Saturday’s big game between the Bruins and Rangers, ESPN’s Barry Melrose looks at the two teams and says that he still thinks the B’s are the best in the East. But he quickly adds that the Rangers aren’t that far behind and that the teams are very similar.
Melrose breaks down the two teams, saying the goaltending is a push, the Bruins have a slight edge on defense because of Zdeno Chara and the Bruins have a little more offensive depth. The biggest edge Melrose gives to the Bruins is in experience. Having just won the Cup, there Bruins have been there and know what it takes.
