MONTREAL -- The Bruins and Canadiens are set to face off for the final time in the 2011-12 season at the Bell Centre in Montreal, and Bruins coach Claude Julien said they need to find their identity again and get back to what helps them win.
"We're going to try and find out game here and what we figure to be our identity which is be a much better team than we have been lately," he said. "We're a checking team and when we don't check well we don't score as much and when we don't check much, teams score on us and we're an easier team to play against."
Prior to the game, Julien was coy and humorous about who would be between the pipes for his team.
"You got about half and hour to wait and you got to be patient. Sorry to screw up your tweets but that's the way it goes,” joked the head coach when asked if backup Tuukka Rask would be in net.
It appears Tim Thomas will get the nod for a second consecutive night after making 17 saves in a 3-0 loss to the Rangers in Boston Tuesday night. Thomas skated onto and off the ice first for warm-ups, which usually is an indication that he will start.
UPDATE: Thomas is indeed in net tonight.
