Could Winter Classic be precipitation-free?

Our Winter Classic coverage kicks off soon from Fenway Park, where we'll have Matt Kalman, Chris Forsberg and Gordon Edes reporting on the scene, the weather and the game.

A weather forecast that once looked ominous now isn't looking so bad. The hour-by-hour outlook on weather.com calls for only a 10 percent chance of precipitation between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and temperatures are expected to be between 36 and 39 degrees.

The Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers drop the puck at 1 p.m. in what is sure to be a historic event.

NHL.com has a pretty cool live webcam from Fenway Park on a 15-minute delay. It looks like they're making their final preparations. No fans are in the stands as of yet.

Below, ESPN.com's Scott Burnside and Pierre LeBrun preview the Bruins-Flyers matchup.
