Lucic still doubtful for Winter Classic

BOSTON -- Practice Thursday involved some drills, a brief scrimmage and a shootout -- all made more difficult by the snow that start just minutes before the team emerged from the Red Sox dugout.

Among the players that participated was winger Milan Lucic, still trying to return from the high ankle sprain he suffered in late November. On Wednesday head coach Claude Julien classified Lucic as doubtful for playing in the Winter Classic and today Lucic repeated that.

"Probably the same, doubtful. But you never know," Lucic said, adding that he feels better every day.

If Lucic doesn't get to face the Flyers, at least he got to practice on the Fenway rink.

"That was a good thing that I was able to get out there and experience it a little bit with a practice. It looks like it's going to be something special out there tomorrow."
