BC women's soccer falls to Stanford

The Boston College women's soccer team hung tough but eventually succumbed to top-seeded and unbeaten Stanford, 2-0, in the third round of the NCAA tournament at Stanford, Calif.

The game remained scoreless until the 63rd minute, when Camille Levin got the Cardinal on the board. Lindsay Taylor added an insurance goal, her 19th of the season, seven minutes later.

Stanford (22-0-1) outshot BC, 21-8, with Eagles goalie Jillian Mastroianni making eight saves.

The Eagles end the season at 12-6-3.
