Welcome to the Superdome

NEW ORLEANS -- Welcome to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, where the New Orleans Saints host the Buffalo Bills. (CBS, 1 p.m. ET, noon local time)

Weather conditions: This is the first dome game the Bills will play this season, so weather obviously isn't a factor. But for those wondering, it'll be sunny and in the upper 70s today. Not bad for the Bills fans who made the trip down to the Big Easy.

Monitoring Spiller: Bills running back C.J. Spiller is listed as doubtful for the game, but coach Doug Marrone said Friday that the team would "take his status to game-time." The Bills may work out Spiller this morning before making a final decision on whether to activate him. Inactives will be announced by 11:30 a.m. ET (10:30 local time). Quarterback EJ Manuel (knee) has already been declared out, while linebacker Manny Lawson (doubtful, hamstring) is also not expected to play.

Game-day chats: Starting at 11 a.m., ESPN.com will host a "Sunday Countdown" chat, with observations from reporters across the NFL as game time approaches. Then, once Bills-Saints kicks off at 1 p.m., we'll have an in-game chat where readers can contribute questions and follow along with in-game observations. Look for links to those later today.

McAulay gets the call: Veteran official Terry McAulay, in his 13th season as a referee, gets the call for today's game.
