Hard-hitting safety Ryan Clark is heading back to Pittsburgh, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Clark would have been a major upgrade in the Bears secondary, but it’s believed the team showed little interest in the unrestricted free agent. Clark actually visited the Miami Dolphins the last two days before deciding to return to the Steelers. When healthy, Clark and Troy Polamalu form one of the top safety combinations in the league.
The Bears are still expected to try address the safety spot, but keep in mind it’s a very deep draft when it comes to that specific position.
