Major Wright evaluated for concussion*

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears safety Major Wright was taken off the field and into the locker room to be evaluated for a possible concussion Sunday during the second quarter of the club’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Wright suffered the injury making a tackle on Vikings receiver Jarius Wright, who had just hauled in a 21-yard pass from Christian Ponder. Veteran Craig Steltz replaced Wright in the lineup with the Bears leading 14-7 with 14:43 left in the second quarter.

If Wright is diagnosed with a concussion, it will go down as the second of his NFL career. A fourth-year veteran, Wright suffered a concussion during Week 2 of the 2011 season during a loss to the New Orleans Saints.

*Update: Wright returned to action after he was evaluated in the locker room.
