BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears will continue to hold training camp on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University for the next nine years, the team and school announced on Monday in a joint press conference.
"It's been a great experience to see the Bears being able to connect with their fans here over the last 12 years," Bears general manager Phil Emery said.
"The facilities here are second to none."
ONU has served as the Bears' training camp base of operations since 2002.
Approximately 100,000 fans annually attend Bears training camp workouts in Bourbonnais. A record crowd of roughly 20,000 fans were in attendance on Sunday following the club's preseason opener versus the Carolina Panthers.
"What a great touch point for our fans," Emery said. "We've been treated so well here and our fans have been treated so well. There is a genuine sense of partnership between the Bears and the school."
