Jonathan Toews earns a star

CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was named third star in the NHL for the week ending November 13.

Toews notched six points (four goals, two assists) in four games, helping the Blackhawks (11-4-3) claim first place in the NHL overall standings.

Toews tallied two goals and one assist in a 6-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets Nov. 10 for his first multi-goal and three-point outing of the season. He recorded one assist in a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames Nov. 11 and scored twice in a 6-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers Nov. 13.

Toews ranks first on the Blackhawks in goals (nine), is fourth on the club in points (15) and leads the NHL in face-off winning percentage (61.0%, 221 of 362).

Tyler Seguin of Boston was the No. 1 star of the week, while goalie Jimmy Howard from Detroit was No. 2.
