The Chicago Blackhawks remained atop ESPN.com's weekly NHL Power Rankings for the fifth consecutive week on Monday.

The Blackhawks suffered their first two regulation losses of the season on Friday and Sunday. Despite the defeats, they still lead the NHL with 45 points. The Anaheim Ducks, who have played two less games, are second with 39 points.

The Blackhawks' two losses were uncharacteristic in a number of ways of their usual play over the first 24 games.

• The Blackhawks had given up four goals in a game just once through 24 games. They allowed four goals in the second period against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday and four goals in the first period against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.

• The Blackhawks had given up multiple power-play goals just once through 24 games. They allowed a total of five power-play goals in the two losses.

• The Blackhawks had 19 giveaways in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. They were averaging 7.2 a game previously.

• The Blackhawks have won around 50 percent of their faceoffs most of the season. Against the Avalanche, they won 19 faceoffs and lost 36 for 35 percent.
