Hawks recall Hutton, Emery skips practice

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks recalled goaltender Carter Hutton from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Thursday.

Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery was not present for Thursday's practice at Johnny's IceHouse West. Emery is 16-1-0 with a 1.91 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage.

The 27-year-old Hutton had a 26-22-1 record with a 2.72 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 51 games with the IceHogs this season.

Hutton has not played in any NHL games in his career. He's played in the ECHL and AHL over the last four seasons. He was signed by the Blackhawks as a free agent on Feb. 24, 2012.
