Canada defeated Finland 2-1 in overtime and finished first in its pool with eight points. Toews had zero points, one shot on goal and a minus-one rating. He also won 8 of 17 faceoffs and played 18:24. Canada has a bye into the quarterfinal round and will play the winner of Switzerland and Latvia.
Patrick Sharp, forward, Canada
Sharp returned to Canada’s lineup after being a healthy scratch its last game. He had zero points, a zero rating and played 9:47.
Duncan Keith, defenseman, Canada
Keith had zero points, a zero rating and played 22:29 in Canada’s win over Finland.
