Dennis Rasmussen, Blackhawks agree to one-year extension

The Chicago Blackhawks and forward Dennis Rasmussen agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension on Thursday.

Rasmussen’s contract is a two-way deal and has an NHL cap hit of $575,000, according to a source. He was a restricted free agent.

Rasmussen, 25, had 13 goals and 14 assists in 73 regular-season games with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL last season. He was recalled by the Blackhawks in January, but he did not appear in any NHL games. He signed a one-year contract with the Blackhawks prior to the 2014-15 season.

The Blackhawks have three remaining restricted free agents -- Marcus Kruger, Joakim Nordstrom, Viktor Svedberg -- to sign.
