CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng’s left thumb was deemed fine after jamming it earlier in the week and Deng will play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, according to Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau.
Deng jammed his thumb during the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Deng has averaged a team-best 18 points through the season’s first five games. He had 27 points in the loss to the Thunder and scored 23 points in the previous game against the Orlando Magic. He’s also averageing 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.6 steals.
