Bulls' early dip in rankings no surprise

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- After watching the Chicago Bulls struggle at times during their first two games, it's not that big a surprise that they took a dip in Marc Stein's power rankings this week sinking from ninth to 13th. The Bulls are still trying to figure out who is going to step up besides Derrick Rose (who leads the NBA in scoring with almost 34 points a game) and Joakim Noah (who leads the league in rebounding with 18 a game). Noah's performance has been so good that he even made an appearance in Stein's comments.

"Who in Chicago is still willing to surrender Noah to Denver in a deal for Carmelo Anthony? Sixty mil over five years, even at a time when pretty much no one is scoring extensions, is looking like quite the bargain."

The funny part is that there are still a lot of people in town who would make that deal. I get e-mails from them every day.
