Howard top defender; Deng finishes 10th

Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng finished 10th in NBA defensive player of the year voting, which was won by the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard for a record three straight seasons.

Deng, who played in all 82 games, received five second-place votes and nine third-place votes for 24 points.

Joakim Noah and Luol Deng each received one first-place vote.
