Chicago Cubs prospect Kris Bryant was named co-player of the week in the Arizona Fall League for the week ending on Sunday.
Bryant hit .500 with two home runs and seven RBIs for the Mesa Solar Sox as the Fall League got underway last week. He was the second overall pick in last June’s amateur draft and won the Golden Spikes award as the nation’s top collegian last season.
Bryant hit a composite .336 with 9 homers, 32 RBIs and a .688 slugging percentage for the Cubs in three different levels of pro ball after being drafted.
The Arizona Fall League continues for another five weeks in spring training facilities in Arizona.
