MIAMI -- Here's a look at the Cubs' 7-5 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.
The good: The Cubs used homers by Reed Johnson and Marlon Byrd to win a ball game that looked like another loss. Newcomer Tony Campana stole a base then stole a run by getting a hand in ahead of the tag on a bang-bang play at the plate. Right-hander Jeff Samardzija pitched two shutout innings striking out three Marlins for the victory.
The bad: Right-hander Ryan Dempster gave up four runs in the fifth inning. He left the game trailing 5-3 after just 90 pitches.
Outside the box: Samardzija won his third game in relief. He now trails only Carlos Zambrano in victories on the Cubs roster.
