Rapid Reaction: Cubs 9, Mets 3

CHICAGO -- Here's a quick look at the Chicago Cubs' 9-3 victory over the New York Mets on Thursday:

The good: Carlos Zambrano won his team-leading fifth game of the season. He also went 3 for 3 with an RBI and is now hitting .375. Carlos Pena hit his sixth home run in the fourth inning, a two-run shot. It was the Cubs' first home run in six games.

The bad: Errors continue to mount. They made three more on Thursday, including two on one play by Kosuke Fukudome and Darwin Barney in the second inning.

Outside the box: Although the paid crowd was 33,378 there was less than a third in the frigid less than Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field. The game time temperature was 42.

Next: Doug Davis (0-2) takes on Kevin Correia (6-4) at 1:20 p.m. Friday in the opener of a weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
