Len Kasper signed a five-year contract extension to remain the television play-by-play man of the Chicago Cubs.
"Len Kasper is one of the best play-by-play broadcasters in the industry and has established himself as a knowledgeable and passionate voice to our great fans," Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts said in a statement. "We are thrilled that Len will continue to call our games for years to come."
Kasper joined the Cubs in 2005.
"I am beyond thrilled with the commitment from the Cubs, WGN and Comcast SportsNet," Kasper said in a statement. "The fans have been wonderful to me, working with Bob Brenly is tremendous and I’m humbled to have the best job in broadcasting. My hope is to be the television play-by-play voice for this great organization the rest of my career."
Brenly's contract runs through the 2012 season.
