How it happened: Casey Coleman's wildness contributed to a five-run fourth inning for the Braves. After retiring the first two batters, Coleman surrendered two hits before walking two and giving up Jason Heyward's grand slam. The Cubs came back in the fifth with four runs, thanks to two Braves errors. Alfonso Soriano homered in the fifth and Aramis Ramirez's two-run double ended a Cubs' streak of 2-for-20 with men in scoring position over the last two games.
What it means: The Cubs lost their first home series after winning four straight for the first time in three years.
Outside the box: Starlin Castro returned to the lineup after a "mental day off" following his lapse in concentration on Sunday night. Castro singled in the bottom of the first to extend his hitting streak to seven. Ramirez had the first five-hit game of his career.
