White Sox-Blue Jays delayed by fog

CHICAGO -- Heavy fog forced a delay in the Chicago White Sox's game against the Toronto Blue Jays at U.S. Cellular Field.

Fog had been present all evening, but grew worse as the game progressed. The White Sox had taken a 4-2 lead in the third inning on a home run to center field from Adam Dunn.

The landing spot of Dunn’s home run was not visible from the press box on the first-base side. The official announcement by White Sox personnel was a “guesstimate” on Dunn’s home run at 444 feet.

Umpires had discussed the conditions before the third inning, and then met again in the bottom of the third. When the game was halted the White Sox had the bases loaded with two outs against Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey.
