CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox know of at least two members of the organization who will be playing at New York during All-Star week next month.
Triple-A Charlotte teammates Josh Phegley and Andre Rienzo were selected for the July 14 Futures game, which takes place two days before the actual major league All-Star Game.
Phegley, a catcher who will play for the United States squad, is in the middle of an impressive season with a .314 batting average, 13 home runs and 36 RBIs in 55 games.
Rienzo, a right-handed starter who will pitch for the World team, is in the midst of a whirlwind year having already played for Brazil in the World Baseball Classic. He is 5-5 with a 5.33 ERA in 15 starts.
