A quick look at the Chicago White Sox's 4-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday at U.S. Cellular Field.
The good: Gordon Beckham hit a two-run homer in the fifth. He's hitting .342 in his last 12 games. Despite allowing seven base runners in the first two innings, Edwin Jackson only allowed two runs and managed to get through six innings.
The bad: Adam Dunn's and Alex Rios' season-long struggles continued as they combined to go 0-for-7 with three strikeouts and two double plays.
Outside the box: Despite his recent hot hitting, Beckham's home run was his first extra-base hit during the 12-game stretch.
Up next: Jake Peavy (2-0, 3.24 ERA) takes on Brad Penny (4-4, 4.72) as the White Sox go for the series win against the Tigers at 1:10.
