Second-period wrap: Hawks 4, Canucks 0

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Chicago Blackhawks lead the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 after the second period at Rogers Arena.

On their way to arguably their best game of the year, the Hawks’ stingy defense has led to some opportunistic offense. The Hawks have allowed just 16 shots to the Canucks and chased Roberto Luongo after he gave up all four Hawks’ goals in the second period.

Jonathan Toews, Troy Brouwer, Brent Seabrook, and Patrick Sharp all scored as nine different Hawks earned points in the period. Marian Hossa had three assists while Niklas Hjalmarsson earned his first point of the season.
