2nd-period wrap: Blackhawks 3, Coyotes 3

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks and Phoenix Coyotes were tied 3-3 after two periods at the United Center on Monday.

The Hawks stormed back after getting down 3-0 early in the period. After a point shot by Keith Yandle made it past Corey Crawford, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville replaced him with Ray Emery and the Hawks soon woke up.

Jonathan Toews scored twice and assisted on the third goal as he continues a monster season. Toews cleaned up a loose puck for his 16th goal of the year then tipped home a Duncan Keith shot on the power play for his 17th. A few minutes later he chased down a loose puck and as he moved around a sliding defenseman he centered it to Patrick Kane who found a small hole to slam home the game-tying goal.

Emery faced few scoring chances after taking over for Crawford, who was under siege and hung out to dry by his defensemen on several goals. The Hawks trailed 2-0 after the first period.
